documentaryAs part of my Camel Milk Me campaign, I have decided to make a documentary of the week long fast. The documentary will hopefully give you all an idea of the enormity of the challenge that faces me. It will also give donors a chance to witness and understand the struggles and challenges that I will face along the way. Ultimately, I want the documentary to compel people to donate and help me achieve my goal of raising €3,500.
In order to make the production, I've teamed up with the London-based filmmaker, Joseph Warley. Joseph studied film at Manchester University and at The New York Film Academy. Following this, he went on to work for directors such as Anthony Minghella (The English Patient, Cold Mountain), Sam Taylor-Wood (Nowhere Boy) and Ed Zwick (Blood Diamond, Defiance). Joseph co-wrote and Directed British Indie feature Drawn in 2009 and his short film This Love was selected for the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2012. BLOGIn an effort to engage with all my donors, I will be writing a blog leading up to, throughout, and at the end of my Camel Milk Me campaign for Brain Tumour Ireland. In a similar way to the documentary, I hope the blog will give everyone an insight into the different challenges, problems and experiences that I will go through during my 7 day fast. The blog will be a dumping ground for all my thoughts and feelings.
I hope that the documentary, blog and twitter feed will enable me to engage with people, give them an idea of my motivation behind the campaign and ultimately encourage them to donate to this worthy cause. To read my blog, please click here. |
